Deer in the Garden graphicControlling Wildlife Damage to Landscape Plants

Our talk this Month on Tuesday September 23rd at 7PM (this is not the last Tuesday in September because we need to get details finished on the plant sale which is the next Saturday.) is on a problem we all will have sooner or later.   How to manage the wildlife when they do things we don’t want them to do.  From unknown rodents eating fall planted bulbs to deer rubbing and eating apple trees; nature has a way of doing more than we wanted.  Eugene S. Sumi, Education Coordinator and Horticulturalist for Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville will explain how to manage these problems.   Mr. Sumi has worked for many years in this area and is constantly encountering new problems and new solutions to managing wildlife.  You are welcome to come with some problems and solutions of your own.  We all gain from hearing what has worked or what we want to avoid.
